How LoadCheck works

Where to find your vehicle's payload limit
Open the driver's door and look for the Tire and Loading Information label on the door frame. It usually reads "The combined weight of occupants and cargo should never exceed X" – that figure is your payload limit.
Payload is not the same as towing capacity. Towing capacity describes what you can pull behind the vehicle; payload is the weight you can carry in it. Compare the two.
Why passengers and cargo count
The payload figure covers everything the vehicle carries, not just what you load last. Every passenger, child seat, toolbox, roof bar and full jerry can uses part of the same number. Two extra adults can take several hundred pounds out of your available payload before you load a single bag.
